Cardboard Citizens support young people from London who have been affected by or are at risk of homelessness. Citz Young Storytellers is a young people-led, arts-based approach, to ensure disengaged and disadvantaged young people’s stories are heard and valued. Through workshops and performance they will develop creative, soft and transferable skills and make their voice heard on the issues that effect them. This grant will mainly pay for staff to support and engage the young people, including employing young people with lived experience of homelessness to support others. The project will support young people’s long-term independence, confidence & progression as social activists.
