Grant criteria

The majority of our grants are made to charitable organisations and other worthy causes that one or more trustee has discovered, researched and managed. We like to form relationships with these organisations and typically visit or have telephone conversations prior to a grant application being made. We then support our applicants with their grant application. The majority of our grants awarded are to give unrestricted funds. We meet once a quarter and consider new applications at these meetings. Occasionally we will agree to approve a grant application between meetings via email. All trustees are responsible for approving a grant application. We are a small operation, with no paid staff. We prefer to discover our own opportunities to provide financial support, often through or alongside other registered charities. We do not seek or accept any funding from sources outside the family.
