This project will create five voluntary garden support groups, based in rural areas where residents are at risk of isolation. Beneficiaries, specifically disabled people aged 55 years and over based in Reading, South Oxfordshire and Hampshire, will develop new skills in both gardening and volunteering, enabling them to build confidence and become more active members of their community. Activities will include training in horticultural activities and the creation of peer support groups.
