The CLAUK coalition, made up of six Latin American-led partners, including lead partner Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organisation (IRMO), will deliver outreach and support sessions across partner sites, popular locations and community events for London’s Latin American communities. This will be complemented by a pan-London awareness-raising campaign online and in print, in Spanish and in Portuguese, including articles in community press outlets.

Indo American Refugee and Migrant Organisation (IRMO) works to enable the development, agency and participation of Latin Americans and other Spanish and Portuguese speakers, by responding to both immediate needs and structural inequalities. This grant will support their work with Latin American migrant children and their families, with a special focus on children with insecure status and Special Educational Needs or Disability, alongside schools and school admission departments, policymakers and specialist organisations and legal partners.

The Coalition of Latin Americans in the UK is made up of six Latin American-led partner organisations, including lead partner Indo-American Refugee and Migrant Organisation (IRMO). Together, they created and translated print resources into Spanish and Portuguese that were disseminated during awareness raising sessions from six community centres across London, in Camden, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Lambeth and Southwark. Digital resources were also created and shared via each partners' social media accounts for pan-London coverage, including two videos. Three articles were published in community press and a Facebook Live was held to further raise awareness for those that could not attend in-person or scheduled online events.
