The funding will enable the organisation to expand their training programme to fill the work experience gap and reach even more young people. It will achieve this through their established training cafes and by partnering with new businesses through their employment centre - helping guarantee the stability and growth of their community and offering more learning opportunities for their candidates now and in the future. The organisation provides education training wellbeing support work experience and employment support to young people with learning disabilities aged 19-25. It is committed to reaching more young people with learning disabilities over the next 2 years. In the coming academic year they are looking to support over 80 young people and their families and over 90 the following year. When considering the parents and carers they support they will be helping over 200 people.

We'd like to continue delivering our enrichment programme for young people with learning disabilities, to provide social connections in their community and improve their overall health and wellbeing.

Their Training Centre, Training Cafes and Employment Centre - supporting over 60 young people with learning disabilities, and over 40 partnered employers - have had to close.50% of the charity’s income has now stopped. Funding will contribute towards the cost of staff salaries. who will deliver a virtual timetable of activities, and continue to offer training and wellbeing support to their candidates.

Funding was provided for in house work placements for candidates who are centrally involved in the running of their Training Cafes (Café Domenica).

We want to develop communication, social skills, and confidence with fun and stimulating activities for people with learning disabilities.
