Sensory Trust will continue to support people with dementia and their carers to run five outdoor activity clubs. 12 club members will act as ambassadors and help to set up five more clubs in Devon and Cornwall. Through these clubs people with dementia improve their health and wellbeing because they are getting exercise in the fresh air, enjoying nature-based activities such as gardening and ceramics, meeting up with other people and contributing to the running of the club.
