Hope House Children's Hospices provides care and support for terminally and seriously ill children and their families. The project will help fund a key worker to provide greater support for families in Cheshire in their own homes and communities between respite visits to the hospice. The project will make a significant difference to the families' wellbeing and quality of life, throughout the remainder of the pandemic and beyond. Key workers offer regular, proactive emotional and practical support for families who have been left incredibly isolated by the pandemic - they also signpost to other local services, advocate for families, and coordinate between medical teams, reducing a large amount of the stress that families face while caring for their terminally ill child.
