The coaches will teach basic rugby skills (i.e. passing, handling), fitness drills, fun mini-games, building up difficulty level each week to boost participant’s fitness and stamina levels and more widely their knowledge and interest of the game of rugby. At Fleetwood Rugby Club, the project will deliver 18 x 2-hour weekly Walking Rugby sessions for 30 participants, activities will be similar to the Touch Rugby sessions but at walking pace.

THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE FYLDE COAST OF LANCASHIRE AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PLAYING RUGBY UNION.THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE AMATEUR SPORT OF RUGBY UNION ON THE FYLDE COAST OF LANCASHIRE AND SURROUNDING AREAS, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY THE PROVISION OF, OR ASSISTANCE IN THE PROVISION OF, FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SPORT OF RUGBY.TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY OF YOUNG PEOPLE ON THE FYLDE COAST OF LANCASHIRE AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTHY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD.
