SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS TRUST

Our mission is to reduce the negative impact of loneliness and isolation on the physical and mental wellbeing of older people particularly those who are cold in their homes. We operate across Hertfordshire and are expanding elsewhere. Our primary activity is sourcing and distributing free of charge practical Warm in Winter gift bags and helpful information packs to our recipients.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • Why are there only 4 trustees?

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
