This funding will support Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Service (NIDAS) to continue to deliver and develop their family support project reducing harm and trauma caused by domestic abuse to families in Mansfield and Ashfield receiving £358213 over 3 years. Long-term wrap-around support will be provided to help women and their children to rebuild their lives providing intervention and prevention services outside the scope of commissioned services.

Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker

This project will provide one to one and group support to children who have experienced domestic abuse. The sessions will help children to feel safer, improve their confidence and self esteem and increase their resilience and ability to cope.

Core Funding

The project will develop a series of wellbeing workshops for women and families affected by domestic abuse. The project aims to reduce isolation build confidence and enable them to rebuild their lives.

Nottinghamshire Independent Domestic Abuse Services will provide support using a Whole Family Approach model which builds upon individuals' strengths and resilience, enabling them to take control and make informed decisions about their lives.

Civil and Family Court Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy Project - Supporting and empowering families to access justice

This funding will be used to offer intervention and support to families who have experienced domestic violence or abuse. The project aims to increase opportunities and capacity of support and reduce isolation of survivors.

This project will support young victims of domestic abuse. One to one and group sessions will help build resilience, and enable young people to recognise healthy and safe relationships.

The grant will support the core salary of Director of Service Delivery and Development to ensure support can be provided to victims of domestic violence.

To enable them to be in a stronger position help will include a confidential face-to-face service and a telephone helpline. An increase in demand for their services means they will need to increase their ability to respond to help more quickly, provide guidance for men and help beneficiaries move forward as a family with more specialist support.
