Overall we want to improve health and wellbeing; some activities will also address other of the funds priorities.A new programme of social activities for LBT women will run alongside our existing support groups such as our Changes coming out group, and T on Tuesday trans and non-binary group providing additional engagement opportunities, and seeking to improve health and wellbeing through regular positive social contact. This will also improve social networking and build confidence, touching on the other priorities of the fund. The pilot therapy group and stand up workshops will provide additional ways for LBT women to engage; the therapy group providing opportunities for deeper emotional engagement and the stand-up workshops a fun and innovative opportunity to engage, with the outcome of improving health and wellbeing, but additionally improving skills and confidence. Specific outputs, with outcomes: 150 LBT women will attend support and social groups, with 80% self-reporting improved health and wellbeing; 80% reporting improvement in self-confidence; and 80% reporting improved social contact. 8 LBT women will attend the therapy group with 6 self-reporting reporting improved health and wellbeing. 8 LBT women will attend the stand-up comedy workshops, with 6 reporting improvement in self-confidence. 10 new LBT volunteers will be recruited specifically to support LBT womens work within London Friend. London Friend as an organisation will have improved contact with other LBT groups, and improved knowledge of how we can better support LBT women. We will also identify at least one new partnership opportunity to develop beyond the duration of this funding.
