Objectives

(1) To relieve poverty and distress particularly among young people (aged 11 to 25) and adults and families in necessitous circumstances, resident in the Greater Wishaw area (ML2) (with an initial focus on those resident in the ML2 8** postal code area but extending over time to those resident in such other adjacent areas as the directors may consider appropriate (the areas served by the company from time to time being referred to as 'the Operating Area')). (2) To advance education of those aged 12 - 25 and encourage lifelong learning, particularly among people resident in the Operating Area. (3) To promote training in skills of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist young people resident in the Operating Area in obtaining paid employment. (4) To safeguard, preserve and protect and further the health of the public (and particularly those resident in the Operating Area) through the increase of public knowledge and awareness of issues relating to health and healthy living. (5) To relieve the needs of those people resident in the Operating Area who suffer from mental and/or physical illness, disability or impairment. (6) To promote, establish, operate and/or support other schemes and projects of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community within the Operating Area.
