a)The Company is established for charitable objects only and in particular for the following objects, noting that references to ‘dementia’ in this article shall include ‘the risk of developing dementia’ within the appropriate context, unless stated otherwise:- (1) to promote the welfare and rights of people in Scotland with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and those who care for them. (2) to provide care, support and information for people with dementia and those who care for them. (3) to assist, advise and work with other organisations and individuals in their work in relation to dementia and to promote collaboration between them. (4) to identify the needs of people with dementia and of those who care for them, to establish objectives and policies for meeting those needs, to draw the attention of all concerned to those needs, objectives and policies and to keep under review the extent to which those needs are being met. (5) to provide, promote or assist in the provision of information, training, education, research and development relating to dementia. and (6) to encourage and assist in the establishment and administration of local groups or other bodies with objects related to those of the Company.
