The Organisation is established for the benefit of the inhabitants of Lisburn and its environs ( hereinafter described as �the area of benefit�) without distinction between persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation; between men and women generally; between persons with a disability and persons without; and between persons with dependants and persons without, by associating statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education to protect and preserve public health and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
