Objectives

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM AND THEIR FAMILIES PRINCIPALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE AREA OF CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL, WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY AS A RESULT OF ASC (AUTISTIC SPECTRUM CONDITION) BY:(A) PROVIDING EDUCATION AND INFORMATION TO SUPPORT AND ENABLE PARENTS OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH ASC TO MAXIMISE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR OFFSPRING;(B) RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH ASC AND THEIR FAMILIES, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION;(C) PROVIDING WORKSHOPS, FORUMS, ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT;(D) PROVIDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH ASC AND THEIR FAMILIES.
