This two-year project delivers regular social activities for young people of African heritage living in Bolton, including asylum seekers, refugees, unaccompanied and trafficked young people. The project aims to boost social connections by bringing participants together to meet new people and develop support networks, developing new skills and a sense of purpose and belonging. The twice-weekly activities are based on participants' interests and include games, art, music, film, podcasting, cooking and eating together; there is also a get-together once a month to discuss topics of interest such as careers, food and sustainability, climate change and environmental issues.
