SEXUAL TRAUMA AND RECOVERY SERVICES - DORSET RAPE CRISIS 

Providing Support, Guidance & Information to any survivors of Rape, Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Assault through a Helpline, Counselling & Independent Sexual Advisor Services (ISVA), including services for Children, Young People & Adults in Dorset. On becoming a CIO in 2019 we changed our name from Dorset Rape Crisis Support Centre (900350): 2018 marked our 30th year of working in this field.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT GENERALLY AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, IN THE AREA OF DORSET:1) TO RELIEVE THE TRAUMA, WHETHER PSYCHOLOGICAL, EMOTIONAL , SOCIAL OR PHYSICAL OF PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED OR OTHERWISE SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF RAPE, OTHER SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL/DOMESTIC ABUSE, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OR SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF ANY KIND BY PROVIDING SUPPORT, HELP OR ASSISTANCE OF ANY KIND; AND2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECT OF RAPE, SEXUAL/DOMESTIC ABUSE, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OR SEXUAL HARASSMENT AND/OR ITS PSYCHOLOGICAL, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL OR SOCIAL IMPACT ON WOMEN, MEN AND CHILDREN BY SUCH MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES DEEM FIT.
