ROSETTA ART CENTRE CIO

Rosetta Arts delivers exciting, innovative and creative courses for people in Newham. We reach out to those who otherwise have little access to the rich and transformative benefits of the arts and education. At the heart of our programming there is something for all stages of a person's creative learning and development.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending since inception
  • There have been no income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Why are there 13 trustees whereas the Charities Commission recommends a maximum of 12?
  • Over half the Board have joined recently
  • Returns have been filed late on 3 occasions over the last 5 years and the current period appears to have been extended

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
