12/11/2021 £120,000 £6,435,318 LIVING WAGE FOUNDATION Making the EZ a Living Wage Place (LWP) directly aligns with the shift towards the ‘inclusive growth’ principle outlined in Newham’s CWB Strategy and wider ambitions to take a more collaborative approach to supporting the local economy. It acknowledges the existing need for the EZ to harness the power of place by building a coalition of local organisations from the public, private and third sectors, helping increase the uptake of the London Living Wage (LLW) in the EZ, thus lifting more people out of low pay. The scheme is designed to be both transformative and celebratory providing the impetus for more workers to receive higher pay whilst also acknowledging the achievements of local organisations so far, and as such represents a tangible vehicle through which the EZ can catalyse pay improvements for local workers. Living Wage Foundation is a Citizens UK intiative.
