UPTOWN YOUTH SERVICES

Uptown provides support and mentoring to young people - including those with disabilities - in the borough of Merton in a youth club setting. This includes a space to meet with friends play pool and partake in activities such as music dance and drama sports and arts and craft. They also provide homework support: offering a quiet room access to computers internet and printers. In addition to this UYS arrange speakers to talk about personal experiences including young people who have benefited from UYS; ex-offenders talking about prison life and victims of knife crime. Workshops are hosted covering budgeting health cooking drugs alcohol domestic violence mental health bullying and anger management. A 1-2-1 mentoring service has also recently been added to the services available to young people.
