DADS UNLIMITED

We support dads across the UK to help them improve their co-parenting relationships after parental separation, and seek help for their mental health. The issues we support are suicidal ideation/self-harm, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, loneliness and isolation. We work hard to reduce male suicide; help male victims of domestic abuse, reduce parental conflict, and improve co-parenting.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • Unrestricted reserves appear to be dangerously low at the latest year end
  • There has been a change of accounting period recently, so trends may be hard to determine
