This funding will be used towards core staff and overhead costs to further develop their service around providing help and support to disadvantage people asylum seeker victims of modern-day slavery victims of domestic abuse and those living in poverty due to the ill effects of cost-of-living crisis. The project aims to build a framework of support around people in need to help them live more stable and independent lives that will enable them to break free from the cycle of dependence poor mental health and poverty.Organisation Provision House (Formerly Loaves N Fishes) are a Dudley-based registered charity and a not-for-profit company that started in 2012 and was original spread over 4 locations in Blackheath. They work with vulnerable people in Dudley and Sandwell providing food recycled furniture household goods clothing and employability training. They support those who have fled domestic violence who do not have recourse to public funds or who have arrived in the UK (United Kingdom) to escape conflict. In 2019 the organisation took on the lease of an 80-year-old delipidated Art Deco Building the former Co-op department store on the Dudley High Street. As they found that being spread over different site was a barrier for people travelling to access provisions. This new location with it significant amount of space has not only allowed them to move all 4 of their locations/operations under one roof but also to realise rental income and greater partnerships working. However as the building had laid vacant for a lengthy period it is badly in need of renovations and consequently a large capital investment. Fast forward 3 years and the organisation has been great at securing funding from a range of funders to renovate the building in stages of which they have made substantial progress. This iconic three-storey building now functions as a community hub with a charity shop for donated goods a distribution hub woodwork shop for trainc. The crisis period varies in length for every individual and so there is no time limit on support given. As this is completely tailored to each individual with one main point of contact. Referral routes including; Job Centre Social Services local Churches and religious groups other charities eg the Samaritans as well as self-referring etc. This support also includes advocacy with other agencies and support services including NHS services to ensure that beneficiaries have help accessing to health care medical services. Often people in this crisis phase or breaking point present with various mental and physical conditions; poverty housing challenges and fleeing domestic violence. Etc. Stabilisation – In this 2nd phase after the initial crisis has been addressed PH would offer counselling energy advice budgeting help friendship and community as well as healthy food and education provision through their in-house Training Department. People would be supported on their journey over several months to get them back on their feet to start rebuilding their lives. The plan is to take a cohort of 10 learners through a vibrant mix of classroom-based skills training in the morning and then practical work experience in the afternoon. Their latest offering is a 12-week course in up-cycling run from our new craft workshop by the Operations Director. Progression – In the final phase PH will help beneficiaries to move on volunteering education training and work placement through PH in house pathway support programme. PH provides beneficiaries with course searches referrals to other agencies and a helping hand towards becoming self-sufficient. PH envisage that this program will provide people with the help they desperately need to break the cycle of long-term unemployment by providing both skill training and work experience that many employers are looking for thus making the beneficiaries very employable. PH will support beneficiaries to: * Implding this is not part of this grant request everything they do is complementary to this overall vision
