MAGIC CARPET (EXETER)

Magic Carpet run a range creative groups and activities for people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, carers and others. In our groups we encourage volunteers and have manageable numbers of participants, encouraging each person to fully take part in their group.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • Spending has increased over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • The Board is predominantly female
  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
