Launchpad Reading provides housing and support for people with a history of homelessness, who are in housing need, living in temporary or inadequate accommodation. Our aim is to ensure that they are able to find a long-term solution to the challenges they face by providing them with the practical and emotional support they need. The people we support have a wide range of problems/challenges. They may have mental health issues, drug and alcohol issues, offending backgrounds, a history of abuse and long-term unemployment/disengagement. They feel excluded and marginalised and are often exploited by others. Our Moving Towards Independence Project will provide them with practical help to move-on to a home of their own and skills to improve their financial capabilities.
