THE HUMMINGBIRD REFUGEE PROJECT

Founded as a grassroots organisation in Calais, we're now a Brighton based Charity working locally with young refugees and campaigning nationally. We provide specialist one to one support and advocacy and run three youth groups, Hummingbird Young Leaders, Global Social Club and an Educational Support Group. Our vision is a community standing together for the rights and protection of young refugees
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Income was lower than spending in the latest year
