X2Y LGBT YOUTH GROUP

X2Y LGBT Youth Group provides support for young people aged 11 to 25 in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. Our main aim is to advance equality for young people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bi or Trans and challenge homophobia, bi-phobia and transphobia. Our core activity is to run two groups, one for 11 to 17-year-olds and the other for the 18 to 25 age range. Both groups run on a weekly basis.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government and a Community Foundation and there are significant future grants due to be received
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • The Board is completely female

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
