To recruit 6 local volunteers to develop a local intergenerational project focused on soldiers from both world wars. They will speak with community groups, nursing homes, and schools to deliver presentations. Learning days will be hosted in the community centre. The hope is that this project will give isolated local people a project and way to socialise whilst also celebrating local heroes.

The funding will be used for a 3 year continuation project to provide specialist support education and personal development provision in Blackpool Fylde and Wyre for children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse. Over the course of 3 years the Empowerment Charity in Blackpool aim to support between 400-500 children and young people affected by domestic abuse through The Den - Empowering Resilience project. This funding will help to continue to fund the delivery of The DEN services but with some adaptations following reflection from their learning through their existing grant developing needs post lockdowns and current cost of living crisis impacting this group; and incorporating ideas and suggestions from ongoing feedback.
