THE OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE ASSOCIATION IS ESTABLISHED ARE: (A) TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF MENTAL HEALTH AND TO ASSIST IN RELIEVING AND REHABILITATING PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL DISORDER OR CONDITIONS OF EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL DISTRESS REQUIRING ADVICE OR TREATMENT; AND(B) TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF AN RESEARCH INTO MENTAL HEALTH DISORDER AND EMOTIONAL OR MENTAL DISTRESS AND TO OBTAIN AND MAKE RECORDS OF AND DISSEMINATE TO THE PUBLIC THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MATTERS RELATING TO MENTAL HEALTH WITHIN THE AREA OF ENGLAND IN SUCH WAYS AS THE DIRECTORS SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DECIDE (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE AREA OF BENEFIT.)
