This project is using its funding to develop its work delivering free English language tuition to adults from BME communities in the borough of Merton for whom English is an additional language. Home tuition is delivered by trained volunteers and group classes are available in several locations. These are the next step once confidence has been built up in the basics and women-only classes are on offer too. A readers group is also offered to help students get practice in a range of subjects.
