This two-year project delivered weekly art and crafts activities to bring together disabled people and carers living in Whitby and surrounding villages and the nearby coastal communities of Hinderwell and Staithes. The project responded to the social isolation many disabled people experienced building on previous arts projects the organisation had delivered, the project provided support for participants to develop skills, express creativity, and empower them to take a more active role in their chosen community. Above all it allowed people to maintain and develop friendships and social connections.
