This is builds on an existing project providing community support to women and men, and their children, experiencing domestic abuse to enable them to remain in their own homes. This funding will develop the project to deliver gender-sensitive services, recognising that male and female victims have different experiences. The main aim of the project is still to use early crisis intervention to protect women and children at the point of separation from perpetrators, enabling them to remain in their homes (while the abuser leaves).
