It will continue to provide home based support and a day care centre. The purpose built community owned facility is open 5 days a week, 10-4pm and has 13 places available daily. Clients enjoy the activities and have a two course hot meal. Carers of vulnerable people are supported with advice and information, respite care, and a support network.

This group will provide support to assist older people helping them retain their independence at home and supporting carers to better manage caring situations. Delivered across Barra and Vatersay, the home support and day care services are provided to alleviate isolation for the elderly through social interaction with others by providing activities at the day care centre. This grant will part fund salaries, day care costs, transport, electricity, repairs, office expenses, affiliations and training.
