Deliver activities to increase the likelihood of sufferers seeking help earlier in their illness and starting treatment within the earliest time possible. Within the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Croydon this includes delivering a one-day training course to staff from nine secondary schools, supporting seven Beat Ambassadors to raise awareness locally, developing one university-based group at King’s College London, contacting all GP surgeries across the four boroughs to share information about eating disorders and the role of the GP, distributing Beat materials to raise awareness of our helpline and contributing to public understanding of eating disorders through media work.
