AGE UK WILTSHIRE

Age UK Wiltshire promotes the well-being of all older people in Wiltshire through offering information and advice, befriending, nailcutting, home from hospital support, activity groups and supporting community day services. We offer talks on a range of subjects to community groups and we research and campaign on issues that affect older people.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been reasonable growth in spending over the last 3 years relative to the previous period
  • Fundraising costs are unusually low relative to funds raised
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board has little diversity in terms of age
  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • Unrestricted reserves appear to be dangerously low at the latest year end
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
Established: 34 years
(37 years as a company)
