SUPPORT AND ACTION FOR WOMEN'S NETWORK (SAWN) 

Our activities include Offering a culturally appropriate space for womenOne to one support for women in crisis,Female Genital Survivor's group therapy. Volunteering and retail experience at the Furniture Mill,training for communities and professionals to become more culturally competent,supporting women to get back into work through job preparedness sessions and one to one enterprenual skills.

1) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN AND AROUND GREATER MANCHESTER WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF OF CREED TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING WORKSHOPS, ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT AND ADVICE.2) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST PEOPLE IN GREATER MANCHESTER IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF VOUCHERS FOR EMERGENCY FOOD, ESSENTIAL TOILETRIES AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED.FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF BEING A MEMBER OF A SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED COMMUNITY.
