The project is for contribution towards the establishment of a community supermarket in Leigh Spinners Mill. The supermarket will not be a foodbank but will operate on Fairshare principles by securing usable food and making it available at a very low cost. The project will operate through a membership system (£5 per annum). In addition to the provision of low cost food the scheme will also deliver healthy eating training using the staff member, appointed to manage the project, to provide advice and training.
