Historically, our sessions Hoddesdon, Waltham Cross and Worley and Turnford, by being placed in the areas of the most significant deprivation, were accessed by the same groups who have not been receptive to the vaccination programme so we already have a relationship with these communities to draw on. We have a good reputation in these harder to reach communities for helping in an objective and inclusive way and through accessing our telephone advice line for help, clients could also receive a positive message about the vaccination programme via the introductory message on our phone line. Our advisers could be trained to give up to date information about the vaccination programme and local vaccination centres. Information about the programme could alos be placed as a footer on all the emails and letters sent out to clients and on our website. We have a broad as well as targeted reach which will ensure that all the groups accessing our services are also exposed to positive messages about the vaccination programme from a source they already perceive as safe and reliable. We back all our work up with robust case recording and collect anonymised data to gain an insight into the clients accessing our service locally and /nationally, watching for trends and immerging issues and are able to back our work up with robust statistical information which we use for reporting and feedback to funders.

The aim of this new project is to tackle the link between poverty, poor mental health, unemployment or insecure employment, low aspirations and under-achievement across generations of families. Various support and training will be provided to families to help them increase their confidence and ability to manage finances, build mental health confidence and develop new skills. Children will benefit through a range of targeted out-of-school programmes to raise skills and aspirations.

The project involves developing a partnership approach to delivering advice and information to clients, to ensure they have access to the right advice at the right time. The project will support the development of a strong local network, building on goodwill that already exists amongst the proposed partnership, by creating a seamless way of accessing advice and information for local people, regardless of the organisation they approach initially.
