Stockport Women’s Centre aim to support vulnerable women in the area. The Project will continue to work closely with a range of existing stakeholders including Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Cheshire and Greater Manchester Community Rehabilitation Company (CGMCRC) and the National Probation Service (NPS) via existing referral routes and governance procedures to promote the project and ensure that access to the project is embedded at a statutory level.A Peer Engager (PE) with lived experience of Mental Health and/or Multiple Disadvantage will be recruited to co-produce and deliver targeted Mental Health Peer Support Training to the GMWSA Core Group of Service User Peer Engagers.The PE will encourage and support the Peer Engagers to engage with service users across the Alliance, continuing to build on the existing GMWSA network of womens peer support practice, delivering 10 training sessions across 12 months and ensuring that 4 Peer Support sessions are delivered each month at the Peer Support Hubs in the Women's Centres.The PE will also liaise with GMWSA staff and external agencies such as CGMCRC, NPS, GMP, Early Help Hubs, Magistrates and other statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure that other agencies working with this cohort of women have knowledge of best practice around the peer support project, mental health and the needs, disadvantages and challenges that women experiencing multiple disadvantages are facing and will support Peer Engagers to deliver Peer Support sessions across other agencies.

One to one support will include tailored plans to help reduce the risk of reoffending such as help with housing, mental health, substance misuse, education, employment, domestic abuse, confidence/self-esteem levels.
