JUST42

Just42 is the only charity delivering children's and youth work in this rural part of Suffolk. We work with 460 children every week in 18 locations, at 26 clubs based in Woodbridge and 9 outlying villages. The young people we support deal with: rural isolation, bullying, low self esteem, special educational needs, drug/alcohol abuse, complex family issues, school exclusion and criminal behaviour.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • The Board has little diversity in terms of age

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Income was lower than spending in the latest year
Established: 20 years
