Hasting Mediation Service (HMS) are requesting 100k over 5 years (20k per annum) to help with continued running costs of £401000 for core services. Funding would stabilise the service along with secured match funds from a range of referral partners. 5 years core support will enable HMS to develop and support 15+ more volunteer mediators enabling them to scale their free confidential and impartial mediation service to residents within the Hastings & Rother area and meet the rise in need.Established as a charity 1995 in response to residents requests for mediation support HMS delivers the service via a team of trained and well supported volunteer community mediators who cover a range of issues including neighbour disputes community safety and anti-social issues and conflict within families.
