This group will develop their project, which aims to provide advice and support for Black Asian and Minority Ethnic and Refugee communities, particularly where English is not their first language, to help them access a range of services, improve integration. It will provide face-to-face access to impartial and culturally sensitive legal advice, and advocacy services in 11 languages, supporting to take control of their lives, improve opportunities, become more independent and contribute to their community.

This project provides advice in 12 community languages with advisers able to explain cultural differences, causes of misunderstanding and to develop people's skills in accessing services, with more complex cases being handled by a caseworker. Advice is provided in two hour drop-in sessions in specific languages with follow up casework by appointment. The activities will provide support in filling in forms, making appointments, submiting claims, challenging decisions and requesting reviews.
