The BWYP is a youth project based in Ryhope which lies on the coast to the South of the Wear in Sunderland. BWYC work with young people to help them understand what employers want from them. BWYC also offers training in literacy, numeracy and IT skills. It also offers work-placements or volunteering opportunities with a range of local employers.The grant is to enable BWYP to continue their successful youth employment scheme. This year BWYC intends to recruit 45 young people onto the programme and get a further 25 into sustained employment.
