Creative Cultures is a creative and social project aimed at socially isolated older people for whom English is a second language or whose primary cultural experience is not British, who have limited opportunity to engage with other groups or communities in Leeds. It comprises 12 weekly creative workshops in each of 3 hubs, culminating in local celebrations and installations; a city centre exhibition; an inter-generational element; and production of printed poetry and CD.

Building on a successful older people's engagement programme based in the theatre, and working together in local community settings, the project will generate opportunities for older people to expand their creative horizons, make new social connections and develop their capacity to volunteer.
