CHILDREN'S BOOK PROJECT

Our object is to advance education of children up to the age of 14 by supplying books to children who would not otherwise be able to afford them and by encouraging reading through community reading events.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received modest backing from several prominent grant makers recently
  • There has been strong growth in spending since inception
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Over half the Board have joined recently

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • There has been a change of accounting period recently, so trends may be hard to determine
