The project will provide necessary training for volunteers in areas such as Mental Health First Aid Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Dementia Awareness First Aid Digital training and Health and Safety. The project aims to reduce isolation and loneliness for older people and develop new skills within the volunteer team.

This is the continuation and development of an existing project, which aims to reduce social isolation and to improve the support available and the quality of life for older people with dementia. A new element of the project is to establish and develop a memory loss 'cafe'; a monthly group of carers and older people in the early stages of memory loss that will come together for support. The cafe will provide entertainment and activities designed in consultation with carers and beneficiaries.
