The aim is to make volunteering accessible to everyone, bringing people together to reduce isolation, whilst improving confidence, self-esteem and life skills. As well as helping people with learning difficulties and people experiencing emotional and mental health problems, the project will also look to benefit people with physical or sensory disabilities and those who are long term unemployed.

This project will continue Echo for Extra Choices in Herefordshire Limited's work in helping people with learning difficulties to lead full, inclusive and purposeful lives; developing self confidence and personal and social networks. The scheme will encourage people with learning difficulties to become volunteers; identifying individual needs and suitable opportunities while providing confidence building sessions prior to their placements, in areas such as lunch clubs, conservation projects and dog walking.
