Local residents of all ages from these areas met ....more This 18-month project brought people together to create a mosaic art trail around the Southampton neighbourhoods of Townhill Park and Harefield. Local residents of all ages from these areas met regularly to agree a trail theme, find sites for the mosaics and make the pieces, supported by a mosaic artist. They designed a trail map and planned a launch celebration event. The project connected the neighbourhoods by bringing people together to combat isolation, socialise and make friends, integrate newer residents from the regenerated areas of the estate and make the local area a brighter, better place to live.
