    4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To provide a holistic support to relieve the needs of persons affected by domestic abuse and trauma (primarily but not exclusively to women and children from minority ethnic groups), and prevent the spread of domestic violence and abuse within Scotland and Overseas and in furtherance of this by. i) Provision of refuge from domestic violence. ii) Provision of supportive and educational services to persons affected by domestic violence in order to improve their conditions of life. and to the public in order to prevent the spread of domestic violence. iii) Working in partnership with other bodies to achieve the objects. 4.2 The advancement of education Overseas by donation of books, and by providing financial assistance in form of scholarships to pupils and students from families in crisis due to hunger and poverty. 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by supporting families, young people and Children who face social isolation and loneliness in Scotland and Overseas due to financial hardship in care responsibilities, a decline in physical or mental health, or life transitions. lo overcome barriers to actively participate in the society and to promote resilience and positive wellbeing/or families in crisis or facing social isolation.
