Objectives

1.1. To advance public participation in play and sport. 1.2. To provide recreational facilities, and organise recreational activities with such facilities/activities being made available to members of the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life. (We also hope there will be some secondary benefits that flow from this purpose. For example by encouraging physical activity in young people we hope this too will have a positive impact upon health in the longer term and by working with community groups, the school etc we will foster community cohesion and responsible citizenship. In addition we hope the play park will complement the natural landscape and enhance the local environment).
