    The objectives of the Group shall be to promote, encourage and sustain within East Dunbartonshire and adjoining areas various branches of the arts by holding regular performances. For the purposes of this clause the arts shall be deemed to mean plays and musical theatre and all other such activities as the Management Committee consider to be conducive to the best interests of the Group.
